Happy Easter!

Several years ago the kids took a trip with Grandma and Papa to Atlanta to see Aunt Connie and Uncle Kirk. The day coming home happened to be Easter and since my hunny and I couldn't be with them, I sent along their Easter baskets. While stopped at a Hardee's for breakfast, Grandma decided to give some clues to what actually delivered the baskets in Atlanta. When she described the actions and mimicked the bunny, Shelby's reply was "the Easter Frog?" Since then, our "Easter Frog" has delivered the goodies.
However, this month has been a hectic one. With a new move coming up, we have been working non-stop to get everything prepared. Last night at 9pm Shelby reminded me that the baskets were not out. Being the crazy, insane  awesome mother that I am, I decided to have a scavenger hunt to find the eggs. Of course, gotta have a rhyme to find each clue, right??? Why I do this to myself I still do not know. I spent the next hr scouring the web and making up 18 clues, one for each egg to be hid. Hunny and I filled the eggs with the candies, I figured I could do the rest in the morn. Of course, I ignored the alarm, so when I finally got up and was only half done, guess who came walking in? I shooed kids back to their room, threatening bodily harm if they did not stay in:-) Hunny and I raced around the house putting eggs in proper spots (note to self, write out where eggs are going BEFORE starting to place) and re-placing them when we realized that we were putting the clues in the wrong places. All in all, the hunt was a success. Of course, I will only remember the fun at the end and will probably do something nuts next year too!

Tracks to the baskets
There was a knock at the door and then the frog ribbetted.

An egg with clue (this clue NO ONE got-including dad!) it's by the computer people!!!!

Even dad got to help!

Happy Easter 2012!
