Tea Time

This year for Shelby's birthday we made plans for lunch at American Girl. However, in the weeks and then months surrounding August, life became a whirlwind of moving and traveling. Finally, things slowed down enough to arrange for a play date. She invited one of her favorite friends, who shares an affinity of all things doll related. I brought one of my favorite friends also, and wth dolls in tow, we had a delicious afternoon together eating, talking and admiring all things American Girl.
Grace, Shelby, Megan and Megan's new friend (not sure what she named her)
Yummy appetizers
Doll and Me cupcakes
Sweet memories!

Out and about

I love when school starts. It's much less crowded when we go out to play! Notice the Shelby and Garry only pic. Shelby has missed her big bro who was working across town all summer (and staying away from home) and was not sharing him his first week back home :)

Rachel's place

New stop just added on northern trips. Rachel has new digs! Thanks for letting us stay. Expect many return trips:)

And he's off!

Garry with new clothes and backpack...1st day of school! In one year he will have his technical certificate for electrical. Woohoo!

Camping at the Adams

Last weekend we loaded down the van with camping gear and headed for Carol's. Most of the siblings were there, and those that missed, well, we talked about you!
The weather, while hot, was beautiful all weekend. Bert and Kevin decided that no tent is complete without a/c and Kevin brought the portable unit for our tent. Lol, is that worse or better than bringing the microwave??! (Our first and only blended family camping trip!)
The kids had plenty of cousins to hang with and the adults amused themselves with playing corn hole, much eating and Tile Rummy. Hope might be the next champion corn holer - you'll want her on your team!  We had a great time but I'm thinking Carol & Al might rethink the next camp out when they see their electric bill?!?

Cow Day 2015

Year 7! Almost as fun as Christmas! One of these years I'll remember where I stored last years costumes and not have to make as many new ones next year!
