Bryce had gotten up at 6 am (way earlier than normal). He fell asleep
right after this and woke up just in time for the icecream and bouncy fun!

VBS take 2

It's been another busy week here with the little people. We choose to do another VBS since we knew the kids favorite cousins were coming to town. Well, schedules changed, and the VBS ended up being a week earlier than planned (next week the cousins come!). So, I volunteered, and the kids went and played. Shelby was able to participate in the nightly game show "CLEAR YOUR EARS", and although she needed a little help from her teacher, she did great. Last night ended with splashing, jumping and eating icecream. The kids had a blast, and even Garry (he's too big to go these days) got to come for the finale.

the end of an era

Last night as we were sitting at dinner, we heard Aidan crying from upstairs. He had just woken from his nap. We decided to finish our dinner and then go and get him. Not 5 minutes later, we hear a little body come bumping down the stairs. And again this morning, Bert woke to find that same boy sitting on his head! Oh, well. I suppose it would happen one of these days. I can't expect him to be 12 and still in the crib, right?!? Thank goodness Gage still wants to be a baby!!!

UPDATE:
one more: As I give her the flower I've cut out of felt, she looks at the flower and back at me, asking "is that the best you can do?" in typical Shelby fashion!

Cow Appreciation Day

Hi all-I realize that the days are going quicker than I can keep up. So, I'll just start from here:)
Garry's friends (3 of em) spent the night with us. This morning, when they woke up, I asked them which they would prefer, Chick-fil-A or hot dogs, the only stipulation was that if we went to Chick-fil-a they would have to dress up as cows (National Cow Day). Although not quite sure I was in my right mind (as normal) they all agreed. So each proceeded to make their own cow outfits. Then me and my herd mosied down to Chick-Fil-A and had a great FREE lunch out!

By the way...if you were wondering, of course I dressed up too!

Boys and their toys

My cousins Mick and Melanie are down from Tennessee on vacation this week. Mick brought his bike, so Mick, my hunny and Kevin went riding together. So while us girls and kids were at the beach, the boys toured the seaside. According to Mick, Kevin drives too slow (no you don't), but they I think they did have a wonderful ride!
